Just wanted to circle back with a picture of the completed kit. This is my 4th build, but first acoustic. The kit was an OM from Woodstax (Stewmac) in flamed walnut with red cedar top. I added herringbone to the top to go along with flamed maple binding top and back. It plays well.
Anyway, thanks for the help and inspiration provided on the site. My next project will be a kit from Mr. Hall, another OM in sinker mahogany with a moon spruce top and bloodwood binding. It should be a blast!
I guess I need to save a photo of the back, but here is one from the development process that gives you the flavor. The accent wood is black/white ebony from some turning stock that I had in the shop. I also used this as a heel cap.My 1st acoustic, OM Kit from Woodstax
