Bill Corey

Post by phavriluk »

In another thread, Diane mentioned that Bill Corey is ailing. I wish him well. I found his books immensely useful when I started building. Soon after I started, Bill wrapped up his book business and I saw no more of him on forums.

If it's appropriate to send Bill a thinking-of-you message I'd like to learn his address.

Thanks!

I was in contact with Bill after he sold the forum on a pretty regular basis up to a few years ago. In 2016 he was selling off his equipment and supplies here on this forum. I purchased a bunch of tuning machines and strings and some pickups.
I have not heard from him since. He was saving some nerve issues that affected his left side i think and was not able to build or play guitar as I remember. But I don't remember precisely what the health issues were.

He is a great guy with a great heart. He loved making the guitar kit guitars and producing the books. He started this forum.

I'll add my best wishes to everyone else's. Bill's contribution to amateur lutherie cannot be over-stated. Even those of us who didn't have his books had the various fora that he either established or contributed to.
