My id really prefer to by all my finishing supplies in a kit but its seems like theres only the stew mac kit that has so-so reveiws. I do not have spray equipment(but have sen the disposable spray cans on LMII) Could somebody please suggest a product line thats beginner friendly. I plan on taking my time and preping everything properly. Im worried about incompatable products being used. Any suggestions?

Here is a link to finish supplies. http://www.grizzly.com/products/Behlen- ... Kit/T21176 you can also find instrument finishing lacquer . If you want to spray get the quart of lacquer , vinyl sealer and grain filler , ( pore 0 paq ) that will get you on your way. You can find finish tutorials on my website at blues creek guitars
http://www.bluescreekguitars.com/tutorial06.php
hope this helps
thanks

Here's the Mohawk Behlens schedule/process rattle cans and compressor spray method

Your thought is correct -- stick to a complete proven system -- everytime I see problems its usually that the finisher was trying to adapt bits and pieces of different processes or using somebody's basement/garage method. I do have a schedule for using the popular Deft products -- I can post that if you are interested.

I brushed on deft waterbased brushing lacquer on my first and second guitars. No pore filler, no sealer. My "sealer" was a thinned coat of Deft. Easy as pie.
No worry about product compatibility either.12 coats filled the pores too.
