you need a water and oil separator about $80 for a good one but worth the investment

I dont know if this became an issue in your process But
If you used the Bullseye Shellac as a sealer you used shellac that has wax in it. You dont want waxed shellac. This can and likely may cause problems even down the road. Many folks make this mistake because it says Shellac.
If you are going to used the Zinnser product, you want to get the can that says" Sanding Sealer". This is shellac at i believe a 3 lb cut (maybe 2 lb cut) and has No Wax.
I use it for many things. Even French Polishing. Thin it with distilled alcohol or denatured alcohol.
