Staining cocobolo

Hi all.

I am about ready do the finish on a cocobolo guitar and was wondering if any actually stains it when they do their finish.

I know stain in some instances helps make the grain pop.

here I can say no finish usually does fine. Coco is such a pretty wood.

I agree. Just wanted to ask.

Also, I found that a mahogany colored filler pretty much disappears from view under the lacquer on my samples I tested.
