Hey Tim, I'm glad to hear it worked well for you. I will be pore filling with TO on the cutaway Ditson starting on Monday.

A buddy of mine on a different forum used Tru-Oil to refinish a solidbody bass. I know it's not the same as building an acoustic guitar, but the results were fantastic.

Just gonna throw this out there..... for those who would like lacquer but do not want to get into spraying it, Watco makes a brush grade lacquer that is very good and easy to apply. Though you will still need a mask and good ventilation. But you should use that with almost any finish.
You never know what you are capable of until you actually try....
