StreetMaster Stain

Post by Darryl Young »

Curious what and how Martin stains their spruce tops to get this look on their StreetMaster guitars? Any thoughts or insight?

According to the Martin site it is:
Top Material: Mahogany

10 fingers in, 10 fingers out - another good day in the shop

They aren’t all mahogany (this one may be) and they stain them to give an antiqued/used appearance. Curious how they do it.
