Has anyone had success removing a fingerboard and re-using it on a different neck?

The guitar that you want to use it on, needs to be the same scale length, and have the same, or less, nut and neck width.nehsgolfer wrote:Has anyone had success removing a fingerboard and re-using it on a different neck?
I don't know the op's justification (or reason), but I would reuse a fretboard if it was made from Brazilian rosewood, and/or had extensive inlay. I could think of a couple of reasons.phavriluk wrote:I'm curious about the justification for going to all that effort and complexity to reuse a relatively inexpensive part. And a new one would have nice, new, frets, too.
