Has anyone had success removing a fingerboard and re-using it on a different neck?

I have taken one off and re-used it on the same guitar, so why not?

The guitar that you want to use it on, needs to be the same scale length, and have the same, or less, nut and neck width.

I'm curious about the justification for going to all that effort and complexity to reuse a relatively inexpensive part. And a new one would have nice, new, frets, too.

I don't know the op's justification (or reason), but I would reuse a fretboard if it was made from Brazilian rosewood, and/or had extensive inlay. I could think of a couple of reasons.

I have done this before so I know its doable
