OK I know this sounds weird but I'm certain I have a rattle(harmonic with certain chords). It is my first guitar with a 2way truss rod. I can tap on the back of the neck and hear it rattle . What can I do short of removing the fretboard???
Thanks for comments and suggestions,
Elwood

Re: truss rod rattle in Epiphone SG
Have you checked the adjustment? Most two way rods can rattle if they are in "neutral" and have no tension on them even though relief is correct. This can be corrected usually by adjusting the rod slightly one way or the other to put some tension on the system without effecting relief.
You never know what you are capable of until you actually try....

also check your tuners. Sometimes a loose on will do the same thing. I agree a neutral truss rod may also do it. Keep us posted
