Refinishing Ovation Preacher Solidbody

I am in the midst of re-finishing an Ovation Preacher. It's a one piece mahogany body with a polyurethane finish (I believe). I've got it stripped and mostly sanded. My question is - do I need to do any pore filling? I plan on finishing it in Tru-oil.
