Here in this series you can see that the top filler was glued in and leveled and bridge is now clamped. HHG was used on this,

It is not obvious from the discussion that you have routed out a portion of the problem area, mostly through the top, and installed a layer of spruce, then routed again not so deep and installed another piece, making the area into, essentially, 3-layer plywood. Do I have this right?

Thanks for that. I am getting the guitar back from a finisher this week so I will soon know how things worked out.

yes that is exactly was we did. The layering is in the same grain direction but till makes for a more stable repair platform. What I did was go down to solid wood. fixed the holes the address another splinterd area. and layered that up. So I have top filler and top filler. 3 layers.
I will test this with Medium strings to see how it works out.

all glue used was fish and HHG

well it has been strung up since Fri and the top is stable , tuned to pitch with Mediums strings.
