Hello one and all

Hey guys
I am Andrew, from Cape Town, South Africa.
I discovered this forum a few days ago and figured it's time to say hello.

I am currently building my first guitar (an African Blackwood/German Spruce OM) at Casimi Guitars, where they offer a building course.
http://www.casimiguitars.com/aboutus.html
Their facebook page is maintained with regular updates on students builds, and those of luthiers Matthias Roux and Matthew Rice. Casimi was started in 2012 by Matthew and Matthias, who had previously worked at Mainguard guitars for over a decade.

Well I am thoroughly enjoying the build process and have already started assembling my own workshop at home (no doubt your input will be most helpful in the future) and my second build, a parlour, which I intend to complete at my own workshop as well as at the casimi workshop,on a building course, so as to get a lot of solo experience, and decrease the time taken on the build (we are currently restricted to one day a weekend at casimi) but also get the pros to verify and monitor my work.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your stories about your builds, how many you've completed/attempted, how they came out and all the rest...

Very nice :) I look forward to seeing and hearing the result.
Did you purchase through a South African supplier?
I am trying to locate some suppliers selling local woods (the ones I know of are either based in the states, or sell only imported woods, that don't seem to match the quality and storage/preparation standards set by LMI).
