Greeting from Washington D.C.

Greetings everyone!

I'm a telecom business analyst here in the 'burbs of D.C. I recently got bit by the guitar bug and decided to learn how to play. I also dabble in carpentry and DIY quite frequently, so it didn't take me long to decide to build my own guitar.

My first attempt is a Gibson es-355 style semi-hollow that I nabbed on ebay. I decided to go with a subdued vintage tobacco sunburst, and so far, the build has exceeded my expectations. I'll be sure to post pics and blog the remainder of the build, as it's presently ready for the nitro.

BJDPhoto,

I just joined the forum today and have built one guitar to date earlier this year and now have the guitar making bug. I too live in the DC area...Crystal City to be exact. I am currently looking for someone who may have an apprenticeship available in their shop since I live in a condo with no room at the moment.

Would love to see pics of your build.

Rick
