My name is Timothy, and I just joined KGF this morning. I'm just now finding my way around the Forum now. I'm 69, and still learning. I started a Stewmac Ukulele kit, for lack of knowledge about any place else, about 2 weeks ago. The body is just about finished, and I will be moving to the neck next week. As there isn't a maker out there that makes a guitar for me, I am using this kit as my first stepping stone to building my own. Nice to meet you all. Thank you. Timothy

Welcome Tim - I'm further north on Vancouver Island. I'm well into my eighth decade, and started in my mid 60s too. You'll find this group welcoming and super willing to help. I've made several tenor ukuleles and I think they're wonderful instruments, and there are other very experienced ukulele builders here. Bruce W.
