Hi! New guy here from Southern California
Hi everyone....
I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Jeff....I've been playing guitar forever but recently started building my own guitars and I freaking love it!
Basically, I buy kits and really only use the bodies....then all premium parts to my liking.
Here is a picture of what I'm working on right now...

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing progress pictures and feel free to post shots of previous builds. Haven't seen too many electrics go by recently so bring it on. Lots of good people here.
Happy New Year!

Hi Jeff and welcome. Nice to have another fellow Californian on the forum.
Where do you hail from? I'm up in Visalia. Started building in 2008 with a one and only kit, and never looked back.
You'll have fun I'm sure!

Here is how it started as a blank....
I used leather dye....
Started with a yellow base...
Then orange over that...
And lastly "honey brown"
And 2K Max clear on top....

Re: Hi! New guy here from Southern California
I am going with Texas special pickups, a genuine Fender roaster maple neck, gold hardware all around and I'm going to Hardtail it with string through the body....
What about the tremolo spring cavity on the back?
That's where I'm installing the electronics from a blues driver pedal.
The 3 pots will be "stacked" pots with the bottoms as normal Stratocaster controls and the 3 "uppers" will control the Blues driver circuit.
