Greetings all,
Setting up my shop and gathering tools. It took 50 years to get to this place.
My first repair in 1976 was on a girlfriends Gibson acoustic. I repaired the bridge that had pulled off and decided to refinish the guitar. Bad idea, since I used my mother's oil painting stuff to create a sunburst and then covered it with varnish. Although it was not even close to the factory sunburst, looked pretty cool to me. The now ex-girlfriend never spoke to me again.
Here we are today, and I am in progress with a 000 kit. My plan is to attend a hands-on building class this winter.
Great to be part of this.
