Glue

Post by warren47 »

I found a post by Diane K. that shared a link (outube.com/watch?v=biWk-QLWY7U) to a Spanish guitar shop. It shows the completion of a guitar with a minimum of tools. Gluing was done with what looked like a white paste applied with a brush. Can anyone identify the glue?

Boy, I don't remember the link. I'd venture to guess that it's Titebond. They use Titebond in Europe too, although it's either Titebond II or III. I advise you to use Titebond I, the original, if you go the titebond route. Guitars should have the capacity for "ungluing" and luthiers use heat and moisture. You're other choices are fish glue and hide glue.

But, I'll try to find that post and I'll check.
