Makes sense. I have done a small river table tops and some live edge, I DIDN'T put that into perspective.
On the topic of the purflex itself. The dimension do not lend them selves to binding and bearing dimensions. The one I purchased is .079, their spec. Really measures .073 to .074. I have read about tapping the bearing for size differences and yeah, should work. Did you run into this and if so, what was your procedure?

I have purchased the Elmer version of the Stew Mac binding jig. What is the best set up, sacrificial jig you have or have seen for testing out depth of cuts? I have my own thoughts at the moment but pretty crude at this time. trying to figure out what would give me the truest test cuts. I was just figuring a four sided box of comparable guitar, cradle height.

That is beautiful Diane. Looks like a bit of work, but definitely worth it, looks wise.
