Problems with the top after gluing the rim.

Hello!
I have glued the rim to the top, and I thought that it went well. But when I lay the top down it´s not flush to the surface underneath. Is this something that can be fixed? Is it possible to force it down with weights, or perhaps clamp it? Or is it ok if it´s not perfectly flush?

It sounds to me like you are just seeing the results of the radius you put (you did put one right?) in your top; like a 25 or 30 ft radius.
If you did, then it should be high in the lower bout center, and will not sit flat on a surface. Am in the ball park here?

Were your braces radiused before glueing them to the soundboard? Did you glue them in place on a flat surface or in a radius dish etc.? It appears the top is dished in somewhat instead of dished out. Dished out or flat is ok.......someone with more experience will need to comment but I'm afraid that will cause problems.

Yes, the braces were radiused. I didn´t use a radius dish. I put a piece of carton ,same size as the work board under the top and then clamped the x bracing. Perhaps I had to much clamping pressure. Don´t know where I read about this method, but the radiused braces were supposed to spring back and give the sound board the correct shape.

Well, unfortunately you have the common result of using a cushion clamping set-up for gluing contoured bracing - (
in my view a very bad idea) - since it is much easier to compress the ends of the braces when clamping, the cushion (cardboard in you case) tends to collapse on the ends creating a reverse bow. For future reference here's a safe system to do this process:
