Difficult to Bend

I'm eyeing up this 3 piece back set for my next project. It's Honduras Rosewood. Do the sides look a little flat-sawn to you? Do they look like they'll take to bending without problems?

My bending experience so far is limited to quarter sawn EIR. I use a form and the heating blanket sandwich that John Hall recommends.

Thanks in advance for your insights on this!

They should bend . I would be careful of a little cupping. This is a good candidate for super soft 2

Thanks for the reply John. I'll pick up some Super-Soft 2.

Do you simply spray the sides with Super-Soft instead of water as you make your sandwich? Any tips on using Super-Soft 2 for side bending?

I have bent several sets of Honduras Rosewood with no problems in fact it holds it shape better than anything else I have bent. Maybe I have just been lucky so far:)
