This is an interesting topic for many and I hope we can share some information.
When working a neck block , can you post some pictures of your neck blocks and tenons also if you pull a neck can you share your information. Here is how I address a Martin style neck. Remember that the only difference on the dovetail and the Martin bolt on is that you need to be closer to the center line.

Are mandolin necks done the same way? Somebody has offered me a very ailing mandolin to fix up if I want to bother with it. I haven't seen it yet, but from the description it sounds that among other things it is in desperate need of a neck reset.
