Inlay question

Has anyone used a compact router, such as a Ridgid compact router, to rout intricate inlay, assuming you can use the small bits?

I bought an 1/8" reducer bushing for small bits. I used my dremel mounted in the Stewmac inlay tool the last time, but I wonder if the Ridgid would be easier to control. It's also easier to see bit placement under the Ridgid, especially with the LED.

You may be better off with a dremel tool or foredom. A larger router is hard to do detail work.

I figured as much, but I guess I'm anxious to use my new toy. LOL Thanks John.
