Any thoughts on the location of the lower peak of scalloped braces (along with the associated node) and their affect on sound? I mostly keep mine about 1.5-2 inches from the rim, mostly because it looks proportional to me, kind of like what I'm used to seeing inside an old Martin.
It's not something I've seen discussed much, but I've always been a little curious about it. If I move the peak away from the rim, is it going to lean things toward crisper highs? If I move the node back toward the rim, toward mids/lows? There's my working theory, anyhow.
Starting to glue the braces on a new build that will be primarily used for fingerstyle, and it sort of got me to rethinking my approach.
