Quick question:

Do you open the sides that cover the pre-routed neck block, where the dovetail will slide into, by using a router with a flush trim bit?

Thanks.

I use a dremel with a spiral cutter bit to get it close, then chisel and sanding block to clean it up.

I have always done it with a chisel.

I draw a pencil line about 3/32 in from the edge and stay within it. I have a parrot vise I clamp it into when do it.

I just like doing it that way myself.

If you do be VERY careful. I did that on one of my first builds and shave the DT open making it very hard to fit (think I ended up using a bolt to secure it). Haven't used that set up since, do it by hand now,

Okay, dremel, then sanding sounds like the least risk to me. Thanks!
