its titled shaping the nut but actually much more ... using a cup of tea 4 that vintage look ... aligning the end ball on string so it rolls on bridge plate instead of cutting in ... great stuff

couple of questions;

- bass side, distance of string to edge of fretboard, 0.100 inch, - people who use their thumb to fret this string, do they move it closer to the edge?

-whats a willy's bridge pin ? unable to locate on internet.

these are vintage pins and made in Germany. I just got some in and will have them posted at blues creek soon.

as for the bass , I use about .100 from the edge. You can use your thumb working the bass E at that spacing. If you work too close to the edge you can pull off the string.
