I don't know if I've seen this on KGF in the past, but it is a very informative article and deserves a look from all, even if it's a second look.

I just bought last night a bottle of Titebond translucent wood glue, supposed to be the same as their original except this is white glue, and drys clear. I used it last night on an end wedge and to glue up a scarf joint, and they both look really good.
Since the LMI white glue is no longer available, this might be a good alternative if you don't want that yellow glue look.
