Is there much difference between a 25.4 Scale fingerboard or a 25.5 scale. I wanted to buy apre slotted fingerboard on line but cant find a 25.4 which is the preffered measurement for the guitar i am building. But all I can find advertised is a 25.5 scale and was wondering if it would be ok to use that ?
Many thanks
Rusty

Thanks John, Would the 25.5 be out then or if I did use it what would the consequences be I wonder ? I can get one quicker than the 25.4 .
I am building a kinkade type acoustic from scratch just to see if i can do it . . Its the one he outlines in his book and it recommends 25.4.
Thanks
Rusty

It will shift the bridge slightly toward the end block. As long as the bracing and bridge plate are aligned properly under the bridge it would be fine.
