Upper Bout Cracked While Bending - Fix?

While Sandy roared outside I thought it would be a good day to bend the sides on the next 000. The upper bout on the second side seemed particularly stubborn and sure enough, it cracked as I was finishing it on the iron. The crack is just below the shoulder. The neck block would be to the right in the photo below.

Can this be fixed? The edges of the break fit nicely together with finger pressure. I thought I could thin some fish glue and work it into the crack and then clamp it tight for a day or so. I'd also reinforce with a cleat (?) on the inside, as well.

Thoughts appreciated.

Cross grain cracks may be hidden but don't use ca The fish should be the glue and a good overnight clamp. Call me . Looks like you may have not gotten enough heat or waited a bit long.

This is definitely fixable. My second guitar ever, I had this same thing on the cutaway. I'm not sure I would do it the same way, but I loaded it up with woodglue, and clamed it as well as possibly. It sanded out invisible. I tell you that for encouragement, as a primitive fix on my second one turned out great. Don't stress this!
