I've gotten started on a 9-string jumbo patterned after the Taylor 35th anniversary model. Does anyone know FOR SURE how the top is braced on their model?? Scalloped or not? Extra tone bar?? Anything else.
I can't get Taylor to tell me anything.

Whatever 'Standard II soundboard bracing' means, that's what they did. (www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/acoustic/features/bracing) Sounds like they're not saying if they made any other changes.

FYI to anyone who might be interested in this in the future. Taylor finally gave me an answer concerning the bracing on their 9-string. It is Standard II 12-string bracing which means they are not scalloped but are moved forward toward the hole and there is a relief groove around the edge.

Ok, since I have found out about Taylor's bracing, I have some questions concerning the bracing and other things on the 9-string I am working on. I Scalloped the braces somewhat-not much. The neck I have is a six string neck from KMG and the bridge is a six string bridge. Will all this work for a 9-string???
