Hey all...

What tuner do you guys recommend for really getting at the intonation?
Trying to fine tune my saddle now.

Thanks,

Tj

for bench work I have a Conn strobe tuner , It is the most accurate tuner out there but I do like the snarks , The black one is tighter then the red and blue ones.

I use the red (SN2). I was disappointed with the black one I got (maybe a bad one). After I had been using the red one for a year or so I got the black thinking it would be even more accurate, mine wasn't, you may have better luck. Of course the Conn (if you want the extra expense) will be more accurate that these or so I'm told.

Peterson Strobosoft works great for me. Great one for the bucks. Only drawback is that you need a laptop on your (my often messy) workbench.

I have a Peterson strobe on my bench and it is my preferred tuner. If you have a smart phone there is an app called gstrings, it reads in Hz rather than cents but is just as accurate. I use it for tuning when I am out and about and it will work well for set up. I just find the strobe easier to see and a bit more convenient to use.
