I'm working on my first build, its a D-18 from Blues Creek. I was getting ready to radius the top rim with a 28' disk when i had a thought. If i radius the top side of the neck block, am i gonna have issues when setting the neck? Ive done some searching on the subject but have not found a definitive answer on how to proceed. Anybody have any info on this?

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum.
You actually want a radius, or slope toward the center of the top on your top block. There are differing ideas on how to accomplish this and John I'm sure will chime in with his way of doing this. I use a 30' radius on my tops and I put that radius on the neck block. This is how I establish my neck angle at the body. When I brace my top, I keep the top across where the fretboard radius extends flat across the area, but from the joint to the soundhole you need to have about 1 1/2 to 2 degrees of a slope there.
So my answer is; yes, if your sides are the correct heighth then you should be good to radius the rims along the the neck and end blocks.
