CA seepage

After foolishly allowing CA to seep into the spruce while gluing the rosette, how do I get rid of it?
Also, I had the neck taped up for a while and after removing the tape, the gluey, sticky stuff is still there a bit. Will sanding bring this off ok?

the ca is in there . That is why I preach about this , CA and spruce do not mix. As for tape . Naphtha should get the worst of the glue residue.

Yes, Once the CA is in there, only sanding can help you. If there is not enough thickness to work on, you have to live with these spots:
Here I fixed a bit loose binding in the waist. After finishing a visable spot remained. So be careful on the CA-use.

often over time the ca will turn the spruce a yellow greenish color. Sealing with shellac while this may stop that , you now are using the shellac as the seal for the CA . There are some times when CA can be used but not often. It can also glaze and wick into softer hard woods like Mahogany.
You can use it on dense wood like most rosewoods , Cocobolo , so test first. I the CA can go through the wood , as in many of the porous wood , you can't get it out.
