Fretting

Hey All...

I poked around but couldn't find a consistent answer on this. When you guys fret your fingerboards, do you CA glue in the frets, or just press/hammer them in?

here is a vid on how I do it. I do hammer like Rick but the key is prepping the board for good results

TJ,
I just hammer them in, no glue. So far so good. If the wire is curved, and your fret slot is the right size, they should go in and stay in.
But, if you are unsure....I understand a little white glue is the way to go, they will come out easier if a refret ever needs to be done.

Same as Rick. Some folks use hide glue for this job. There was a time when wide slots and epoxy were the rage.

I was going to say the same thing...so many ways to do things a get satisfactory results.
