I would like some advices from you pro`s...what´s my build #2 is going to be made of. I play the guitar..mostly finger picking. I´m thinking...OM style, but I´m not sure if it´s gonna be mahogany...maple..walnut..Koa.?? I don´t know how to combine the tone woods! Engelman...sitka for the top or something else?
Just for info...I´ll try to build from scratch next time:)

om or oo in walnut/cedar and mahogany/cedar are really popular for fingerstyle right now.

I made a 1937 d-18 copy thats out of this world, but because it has medium strings and sounds best picked my cousin , a fingerman bearly looks at it. From what I see fingerpicking guitars are om's or 12-frets with at least 1-3/4 nut wt. and 2-5/16 bridge pin holes also light strings. I went on musician friends site and studied all the 3-5 thou... guitars looked at the spec. and copied. They had more info before some is gone now.Anyway I'll be making a 12 fret for finger style next wide all around , rosewood, good top ect. Thats what makes this so cool I'm finishing #5 now, and all 5 are different. Just dive in and do'nt let anything stop you. hum... lets see what kind of pick up's are out there. Cocobollo sounds like glass, europeon spruce top cannon, bone nut -saddle, ebony , hard shellac french polish...I think I'am obsessed good luck.

Man , the perfect finger picker is the nose HEhehe
In seriousness I do like the OM . The one wood combo I am liking more and more is Honduran Rosewood and Carpathia. There are many options out there for finger pickers . We all know that the Martin 000 and OM are staples in this area.
I have a 1944 00-17 that is all mahogany and it is remarkable in the tone and volume for such a small guitar.
