The Cherrywood I received from Bob has finally been sanded and sides bent. I love the color but am stumped for binding. Take a look.

I have made a few cherry guitars and I like tortice as it makes a nice color blend with the cherry. I also like walnut if you want a wood binding. If you want a lighter contrast Sycamore is lighter and gives you an option

How about Rosewood? I could carry it through with Rosewood headplate and a Rosewood stringer in a laminated neck. I do like Walnut though.

Walnut contrasts well with Cherry, also could be the start of an all domestic theme.

If tortoise celluloid is used, I found this tip - can anyone else share their gluing practice with the celluloid?
Tip: Titebond, or any other yellow wood glue, does well with celluloid bindings if you paint acetone on the gluing side to soften the bindings. Been doing my guitars this way for quite a while.... (Mario)
