what glue for side purflings to binding?

I need to glue up some .020 maple to my bindings for the side purfling, before bending (by hand, if it makes a difference - it won't be sandwiched together and cooled in a bender).
What glue would you guys recommend?
I've read TB3 or CA for the heat resistance, but that the CA might stain the maple.
thanks!

The bindings are Madagascar Rosewood, there is some streaking but for the most part they are dark. I do bend bindings 2 at a time so I will tape them purf-to-purf.
Thanks Rick!

Darren,
I have been using CA and had no issue with separation as long as you get the glue along the entire surface length. I tried LMI white glue and when I went to bend, I got some delamination. If you keep it dry, it seemed to work better, but the steam generated caused problems. Go for the CA and hopefully the staining won't be an issue.

I find fish glue pretty good for heat bending

I tried fish glue once, but I didn't like it cause I couldn't get the fish apart when it came time to cook them

As Arnold would say, "Dats a good one."
He would also say other things if you were a woman, but thats for another forum entirely.

when attaching a purfling using CA I like to make a holder so I can get things set in. I use wax paper so I don't glue unwanted things together and then wick in the CA

I used my trusty binder clips and tacked the purf down to the binding, then filled in the gaps where the clips were. Then cleaned everything up with a little bit of scraping:

And the ends are matched for grain and color at the end wedge, and taped together ready for bending:

Thanks for all the assistance!
