Making tapered shim?

Hello! I have been working on my dove tail neck for some time...and I believe it turned out ok. The problem I have now is that the fretboard is not flat to the body all the way to the sound hole. I got a tiny gap..3.5 business cards high at the end of the fretboard. Se pics.
I wonder if someone knows how to make a tapered shim wedge to fill the gap with? What method should I use. What material is best to use?
I read this article from Ken: http://www.kennethmichaelguitars.com/NECKSET.html
But as I've had some problems to get the dovetail joint tight, I don´t want to lower the neck as described, cause I´m afraid I´d lose the tight joint I achieved.
