I put some lacquer on the Koa OM. Oh baby....it looks gooooood! See:

I am very pleased with how it is looking. I have 8 coats on it now. All brushed. I am usinf Deft Gloss Brushing lacquer. I think another couple of coats and I let it sit for a week. Then I start sanding. Yippee!!
I have not leveled between any coats. I did not on the first two I completed either and I dont think it hurt other than to possibly add some sanding time when I got to that stage.

Thanks for the compliments on the wood fellas. I got a couple of good sets of Koa here. They are making me want my own all koa guitar!
But then I have that claro walnut guitar to finish. And the ziricote. And some more sapele. And another matching set of Claro. So much wood, so little time.

You will have to build with that set while blindfolded. That should be an adventure.
