Hey everyone,

I just finished building my third guitar: an LP (of course) with a Natural finish and custom active pickups. I got the kit from The Guitar Fabrik again, and as always, I was really impressed with the quality. The natural mahogany looks awesome, and everything fit together perfectly. The neck was spot on right out of the box.

I’ve done a couple of builds now, but I still get that same excitement from sanding, staining, and assembling the pieces. It’s always so rewarding to see the guitar take shape, and that first time you plug it in and hear it play is always the best moment.

The final result is exactly what I wanted. The natural finish gives it a clean, classic look, and those custom active pickups really make it sing. The tone is nice and punchy. It works great for everything from smooth solos to heavy riffs.
If you’ve been thinking about building your own guitar, I totally recommend it. It’s a fun way to learn and unwind, plus you end up with something that’s all yours. The Guitar Fabrik kits are always solid and a great place to start.

Here’s the link to the kit I used for this build:

- + a Tru-Oil natural set

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need advice on your own build!

Catch you later,

I second that. And £209.00 seems to be a great price. Let us know how it plays. (I'd considered a Les Paul kit but a guitarist I know said that the one he once had proved too heavy for him to play for any length of time. That's why he recommended the Strat kit for me.)

Nice looking LP, CherryLine, please let us know how it sounds. Thanks for posting the link to Guitarkitfabric. I’m a child of the 60’s and grew up idolizing Paul McCartney and his Hofner 500/1. Now that I’m building acoustics, I’ve toyed with trying one of the Hofner kits out there. Generally, the kits I’ve looked at all seem to have some negative comments, e.g., no instructions, fit up issues, etc. After checking out your link, I took the plunge and ordered their Hofner bass kit.
I’ve been blown away so far. Besides a reasonable price no and a complete instruction book, it arrived yesterday in Georgia, USA via FedEx just 8 days after placing the order. I won’t start it for a month or so, but, the initial inspection looks good for a $250 US kit.
My 15 yr old grand daughter is playing the stand up bass in her school orchestra. So, I loaned her an acoustic bass and amp for her to play around with. The bass is almost as big as she is!😂 My plan is to have this finished and under the tree for her this Christmas.
Thanks again for the link. I would not hesitate to order from them again.
