I'll save you the effort.
Gluing plastic purfling to wood binding and then bending in a fox bender with a silicone blanket DOESNT WORK.
Ha ha.
I figured it would melt... and it did and even burned.
275 degrees.
So if you wondered, now you know.

funny. Thanks for sharing I'm sure I would have done that and learned the hard way. I am lucky that I've only used wood fiber purfling when doing the same procedure. That works pretty well but the fiber can separate sometimes. I've used both CA and tightbond 2 (water resistant) before bending. Both worked well enough.
