It's so shiny I had to put sunglasses on to look at it, man that sure does look good!

Thanks Guys. Kevin, the next one up is a koa L-00. We were in Kauai around Christmas this past year, and I brought back a couple of Koa billets. I resawed them both shortly after getting back. The moisture is finally down to 7.5%, so I joined the back panels for the back and final thicknessed it while I was waiting for the mango guitar to cure. Here is the back:

Oh great. Now you are going to make my two Koa guitars look like a 5th grader built them! Can't you stick to some wood I will never use? Like that spalted mango for instance. I won't build with that probably ever. Jeez Ken! That's some nice Koa.

Hey Tony, I'm just late to the party! Seems like this whole forum has been building with Koa but me! I did pick up some different woods, though. Last week I ordered some 280 year old black walnut, curly sycamore, butternut, and highly figured maple billets from Brian at Artisan Lumber. So if you stay away from those woods, we won't be competing!

Competition? What competition? I will be the first person to admit your guitars are marginally better than mine! LOL
Seriously, you do outstanding work, and as such, I will now be avoiding the following woods:
280 year old walnut, curly sycamore, butternut, and highly figured maple.
Thanks. I am stuck with Brazilian Rosewood now!! Guess I will remortgage the house and buy some.

Absolutely amazing! Awesome curl and color, and you had to make a special trip all the way to Hawaii just to get it!
