What's the first thing you're going to build in it once it's done!?

Re: Still Building new shop...
I have three projects. I have from scratch Spanish Cedar\sinker redwood parlor that has been pore filled waiting for the spray booth. I am starting another koa parlor for a niece. As a new project I am going to put together a Waldron Mark Stanley acoustic bass kit. That should keep me busy for a bit.seanbig wrote:What's the first thing you're going to build in it once it's done!?

Re: Still Building new shop...
The shop is getting really close. Maybe ready for next weekend. The final electrical needs to be completed. The HVAC system is in and mostly working. The dust system and the spray both fan are in but still need final wiring. Light and outlets still need to be installed. I have moved most exerything except the heavy power tools and my benches down to the shop.
Ducting for the dust system is mostly ready

THe ClearView dust collection system is installed waiting for final wiring.
Also I am going to install a few air outlets. One in the spray booth and a couple in the shop.

The spray booth has been carefully sealed with a couple of filtered air inlets. I also have a giant exhaust fan. All of the eletrical work in the room is being done for spraying lacquer. I am only spraying water based finishes but the electrician talked me into the sparkproof fan and lights.

Re: mostly finished new shop...
I have moved into the new shop. The spray booth fan still needs to be hooked up and I need an outlet in the closet for the compressor. The shop floor space is still tight 9' X 20' but it was worth having the spray booth, the wall of shelves and cabinets and the closet for the dust collection system.
I should be able to start doing real guitar building tomorrow.

Nice shop John, jealous! While I have a ton of space, it is not insulated, and I have to share it with the kids crap, the wife's crap, (some of my crap too, I suppose) and two cars. Mybe next house I can do better. I agree, however, the shop is too clean. Get it dirty!
