Saturday morning I got up early and sprayed 4 coats of Stewmac clear gloss NitroLacquer. Then on Sunday morning I did
a half ass job of level sanding the whole thing and then sprayed 4 more coats. Each coat had and hour to an hour and a half
of time to cure. All in all I think it looks good. I didnt want t real heavy coat of lacquer on it which I have read is a real
no no on a classical guitar. So I have set a date for 8-20-11 which will give it 3 weeks to cure and then I will wet sand with 1000
and then 2000 grit paper and then I will hand rub it out. Im not going for a totally flawless finish I updated the pictures on the web site

I like the looks of it a lot. Should be gorgeous when rubbed out. Thanks for posting.

Well. I just couldnt wait anymore. I gave the finish 5 days to cure. Then i wet sanded and buffed it out. I measured up and then glued up the bridge. While the bridge is drying I installed the tuners and made the nut. In the morning the bridge should be dry after being clamped up for 17 hours. Then I will make a saddle and then she how it sounds after being strung up

What was it about Z-poxy that you found to make it hard to spread? I used Z-Poxy also and I didn't find that it was hard to spread.

That is a nice looking finish job, especially considering the minimal cure time you allowed. Your final, final finish should turn out nicely!

Well bridge is on and I started the setup. The neck angle is off a little bit. Neck is leaning back. This is going to cause a high saddle. So I think im going to to have to live with it. I dont think there is anything I can do at this point. I put the low and hight E string on to check the action and from the looks of it the low e will be about 3.5 mm from the 12th fret which sounds good but I think the high saddle along with the 12 hole bridge is going to cause the strings to have a real steep break angle over the saddle. I dont think anything can be done to lower the neck angle without getting really surgical. Any ideas would be great
