Re: Making bridge blanks
Excellent,
I've been making my own bridges, my own way but I'd love to see how you do it.

Incidentally, I am editing 2 videos right now. One of them is How to make a nut, slot the Bridge pin holes, and make the saddle. The other is the updated Dovetail Vid. The nut/bridge/saddle should be done early next week (will be away for the weekend). I have most of the 1st camera edited - just need to add close-ups.

Re: Making bridge blanks
Once I gathered up the tooling I thought I needed to make bridges, I went and made a few bridge blanks out of oak flooring scraps and ran them through the process. I didn't want to do my learning on the materials I hoped would turn into usable bridges. Practice and familiarity with process are wonderful things. I did some learning on the practice wood until I was satisfied that I knew the process and in which corners lurked the trolls. Worked out fine. My first two bridges were all I hoped for.
