I think it tells you it is either a closed crack or just a finish crack. Either way, its better than an open crack.

What you have is not a crack but sink . That does happen. Did you sand the top with or across the grain ? Also what glue did you use ? If the glue joint is too heavy when you sand the top ( I sand across the grain on the top with 220 ) the wood may swell if you do not control Humidity. The glue doesn't and you can develop a long sink line. This can be filled and leveled .

Re: Bummer......My Top Is Cracked!
Last night I located the bridge, masked off the perimeter, and removed the finish in the bridge area.
Turns out my finish is VERY thin. I didn't want a thick finish but with zero experience, I wasn't sure how many coats to use. I was able to peel up a few small pieces that I could measure and the finish is 0.0015" thick (half what I expected). Mostly, I had to scrape off all the finish but did get a couple 1/4" sized pieces. Anyhow, with finish this thin it wouldn't take much to split it.
The seam does not appear to be split/cracked at all......appears it is only a finish crack. So while I wish I didn't havethis tiny finish crack (you can feel it but the light has to be just right for you to see it), it's only cosmetic and I can live with it.
I prepped and glued the bridge in place last night <yeah!> My daughter is on the homecoming court tomorrow night for her high school and we have company coming into town to see her so I'm not sure I will get to work on the guitar anymore till Sunday evening or possibly Monday.
I appreciate everyone's suggestions and efforts to help!
