You didn't say what the RH was . I agree that you have to be more positive clamping approach. You only have 2 braces to pull , that would be the main X. You can try a commercial glue remover on them let dry and reglue .
I use the concave disks . The stack of cards can work for you, that is better than gluing flat .

Hello! RH was 44 during glue up. Now around 31 because my humidifier broke down. (to much lime in the water in my house)

I have the stack of card ready for the back, but unfortunately my instruction never mentioned that the top should be treated in the same way. It said that gluing it flat would do the job. I guess this is a lession how not to do it.

John: Do you mean that I don´t have to remove the top from the rim? Just the x-bracing and then reclamp with the card method?

I´ll start looking for a glue remover. I used the TiteBond glue by the way...if anyone happens to know what remover that would work.

Thanks

Ok, now I removed them. Nothing that´d recommend though. It took 3 h to get them off and another 3 hours to get rid of the glue. And...I´ve ordered a new pair:)

What's the story behind the neck block? I know of a number of builders that use that approach with the added tongue, and understand why - did you make it yourself? Is this your standard practice?
Thanks

Hello Dave!
No I haven´t shaped anything myself. This is my first build and the kit is a martin d28. I believe that Martin uses this neck block as a standard.

yes that is what a martin neck block looks like . It is actually a used more as a gluing cawl for the production floor. I myself cut them off . Nice work . Look at it this way , you learned a few things on this build . It was nice of you to share your experience . Most newbies never consider the RH factor when building .
Give yourself a nice pat on the back for a job well done.
