That looks like it was a lot of fun. How many days did it take them to get to that point?

hi John.
I'm just blown away with the pictures of the build. I really like the GO-BARs what a tool. Is the go=bar rig adjustable (adaptable) for other designs. Where would I find one of these tools John? There is an awful lot to these pictures and I don't know where to start. I will say I could write a dozen comments on them. I will ask many questions over the next few weeks or so trying to piece together the process. I want to start my project in a couple of weeks. Right know I'm tooling up. That's why I'm interested in the go-bar etc. John another question, what types of routers are they in your shop pictures? I also had a question on the brown strips I saw on the sides of the guitar body/I never seen them before? I really like the shop pictures and what the students achieved with you guiding them John also the tips on the proper glues on spruce concerning staining was great thanks. Nice -- Nice work take care John --- Stephen

You can probably buy a go-bar deck from John. Also, you can just make your own with some 2ft X 2ft pieces of 3/4" plywood and 4 pieces of 1/2" all-thread roughly 3ft long (maybe shorter) and nuts/washers to fit the all-thread.

John can buy fiberglass go-bars from John or buy them from a kite mfg. Alternatively, you can use go-bars cut from wood.....just cut to desired length and then thin till you have the stiffness you want.

Maybe there are pics of homemade go-bar decks in the Tools section?
