Now that my new workshop is up and running, I have been setting up my bandsaw for some resaw action. It was thrown all out of whack when I moved it to the new shop. Right now, for some reason, I am getting between .005 and .015 variance between the top of the resaw and the bottom. More setting up to do. I want to get it so it is pretty close.

Glenn, I struggle a bit with that as well on this job. My blade was at 90, and my fence was at 90 degrees to the table, so the fence should have been parallel to the blade, but I was still getting some difference. As I kept tightening up on the blade tension, it seemed to get better, and when I slowed down and fed more consistently, it was better too. I think there is some technique envolved.

I'm not an expert but it seems adjusting how the blade runs on the slope of the wheel help with drift. In other words, the wheel has a crown and if it isn't tracking near the center of the wheel, the blade will run at a slight angle......and when it's at an angle, it seems it tends to make the cut "drift" off to one side.

Again, I've limited resaw experience but that seems to be what happened with my 14" Rigid bandsaw with 6" riser in place (bought used).

That is a very valid and real issue Darryl. I did make sure my blade is running in the center of the wheels, in fact, I switched from a 1/4" blade and the 1/2" lined up perfectly. I also made a cut to see if I had any "drift" in my cut, and sure enough I did, so I adjusted my fence to the drift. I guess it helped since I didn't try making any of the resaw cuts without this drift adjustment.

I am not getting any drift at all. But I am getting slices where the top is a bit thicker than the bottom. Something isnt lined up perfectly, whether the fence or table to blade. It isnt that far off, but I want to get it spot on if possible. I am using a 1/2 carbide blade on a 14" grizzly extreme with a riser, 1.5 hp motor and high fence.
