Yes, I could John and I had thought about that but I didn't want to drill thru the dovetail block. Someone buying a M&T bolt-on expects it but I'm not so sure someone wanting a DT does even though on most of the DT blocks I have the hole is about 3/4 the way through already.johnnparchem wrote:Can you drill a hole in your in heel block and use the same handle?

Re: Dovetail pore filling handle
I have used a set up that I saw on a lacquer website.
I have an L shaped bracket that I attach to the neck block fom the front. I drill two holes about 3/4 way into the block and use screws to secure it. The part of the bracket sticking out of the neck is attched to piece of wood that is about 1 x 1 inch thick and about 3 feet long.
I have a table saw outfeed roller stand tat has a removable roller assembly. When I take it out there is a 1 X 1 slot that I fit the piece of wood into.
I can adjust it to whatever height I need to spray at.
It has worked so far.
Here are a couple of pics.

OK, I got all the parts today and it took me all of 20 minutes to cut and assemble the clamp. Tested it out and it works great. I wish I did this a long time ago. I have enough to make another if I need it. It is 6" x 6". Surprising strong hold.Ben-Had wrote:Parts ordered, will post assembly picks when they arrive.

This is it. Hope you enjoyed seeing how I made my first vacuum clamp. It was fun and easy, actually it took me longer to do the posts than to make the clamp:)
