Re: shooting board
I use a double layered strip of tempered glass I found in a salvage store. On my bench it is very straight. Still I found though that I have a tendency to sand straight edges into slightly curved edges. After Rick Davis watched me work with sandpaper setting a neck angle he suggested I get real good with chisels and scrapers. I am sure it is where I am putting weight at the start and end of the stroke but so it goes. I was always ending up with a slight gap on the edges of the joint. So I put a couple a layers of tape under the center of my plate of glass giving the glass strip a very slight bow. Voila! I now get a stright edge. I am not sure is my solution is applicable or nessesary to anyone else.

Re: shooting board Todd Stock makes a good shoothing boar
I have seen this before and I think it's an excellent video. I have planned on making that board but haven't as yet.tippie53 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npd0wnpjKa8
